Holmfirth – BEFORE the summer wine
The move up north to Holmfirth might as well have been emigrating abroad for all we knew. Everything was SO different; the culture, the accent, the (very real at times) exclusiveness, almost ‘racist’ at times, was hard to adjust to. We stayed only two and a half years, the most successful part of the work being among the young people.
